In the past eleven years of dedicating all my efforts to advancing my Career in the Oil and Gas Industry,I can say that I have seen some true highs and lows...but it always makes things easier when you have people working right beside you that can help motivate you in every way possible. That is why when I head out on the road, (sometimes not knowing how long the next shift is going to last) I try to be the guy you can easily talk to. It is not always the easiest task, We always miss our families and constantly count down the days until we are back sleeping in our own beds.But I make a point to look on the bright side of things, enjoy the day, and occasionally make someone laugh. And I guess it is what most people remember about me, and the fact I do not shy away from getting Dirty (Always have a change of clean clothes )And I lead by example, now this has been difficult...it has taken a while to practice patience. But the reward of watching someone achieve and then perfect a task is an excellent feeling, you may not notice it at first but somebody is always watching you. This may be a good or a bad thing, but if you try to accomplish something in the safest way possible and look for insight from others before hand, you have the highest chance of being successful. Every once in a while I wonder if I am doing the right thing? should I just find a new line of work? Things are so erratic in this Industry and its hard to plan a life. But then I talk to my Family,friends and mentors and am reminded nothing is ever easy! You have to work for what you want and remember as long as you are willing to help others along the way you will get the same treatment in return!
