As a technical lead (architect) designed and delivered data driven improvements for broadband products (Sky Broadband Routers & extenders) including data integration with Sky Q systems. System-on-a-Chip (SoC) for mass market consumer devices. Developed software for DVB/MPEG-2 demultiplexing/decoding, device/content security (integration with 3rd party CA providers such as NDS), hardware interface drivers, test automation software, and marketing software to demonstrate chip capabilities.

Development of advanced digital TV systems. Work included: DVB/MPEG-2 Video Encoding, Multiplexing, Decoding, Content Security (Conditional Access), Proof of Concepts and research projects to support strategic decision making.

United Kingdom

Model driven development of SDH Network Management System. Object oriented analysis & design (OOA/OOD) using Shlaer-Mellor technique (basis of modern executable UML). Tasks included: domain modelling, class modelling, state modeling (Moore state machines), data flow analysis. Implemented in C++ on a Unix platform.

Joined BT's Research Labs in Martlesham Heath after graduation (electronics degree). Developed network management systems/software (Unix/C++). Conducted research into new technology platforms, user interface techniques and tools.

4 year apprenticeship in Electrical & Electronics. Work involved the design/development of analog & digital electronic systems for industry research projects in areas including: Space Physics, Aeronautics & Astronautics, Sound & Vibration, Ship Science. Upon completion left to do a full-time electronics degree (Northumbria University).
