Thank you for viewing my profile! I obtained my Master's in Social Work at San Diego State University. I completed my advanced year internship at Palomar Community College in the Behavioral Health Counseling Services providing individual counseling to college students. I previously volunteered with The Trevor Project as a Lifeline Counselor on their suicide hotline supporting LGBTQIA youth in crisis. My passion is to work with young adults and those in the LGBTQIA+ community with mental health concerns. I have extensive experience in crisis intervention, therapeutic group facilitation, 1:1 brief counseling, and case management. I have experience using DBT, ACT, EFT, TF-CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I have provided services from teens to older adults with mental health concerns. As well as special populations including individuals with SMI on conservatorship, LGBTQIA+ youth, foster youth, families experiencing poverty, houseless individuals, justice-involved individuals, and individuals with developmental disabilities. I have worked in a multitude of settings such as a college counseling center, a long-term mental health facility, community outreach, high school settings, incarceration facilities, group homes, and direct in-home care.While obtaining my Bachelor's in Psychology at Endicott College, I was a Lead Research Assistant completing a Needs Assessment of a Low Income Neighborhood. I presented the findings of my research at The Annual Eastern Sociological Society Convention in 2018. I completed a thesis in my undergraduate program on The Public Perception of Addicts Receiving Treatment While Incarcerated.
