My name is Kendall Hamilton, and I am a third-year finance major in the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Over the last few years, I have had a variety of different work and volunteering experiences that help me today. In high school, I had jobs as a camp counselor for children, a soccer referee, and I ran a concession stand. In these jobs, I developed skills such as multi-tasking, organization, problem-solving, and more that continue to help me today. Especially as a camp counselor, I was able to learn how to remain calm in environments where many different things can occur at once. In high school, I was also a leader of our school Admissions Club. I developed and led events to spread awareness about my school to prospective students and their families. This helped me develop communication skills and teamwork, as I was constantly in contact with my peers, and new families looking into my school. More recently, I had a job as a soccer coach over the summer, and worked with kids looking to improve in the sport. In this job, I learned how to lead others in a respectable, kind, and ethical way and inspired children to act with these traits. While I was a coach for soccer, I was also responsible for teaching them how to work with others as a team, and to be respectful to everyone. I am interested in a corporate finance position, although I'm not sure whether that would be as a financial manager or financial analyst. I am currently taking classes to help me decide which path to go on, and which experiences can help me.
