The way I see it, we can approach health from two perspectives: proactive and reactive. I have professional experience in both approaches.In my current role as an Assistant General Manager for a fitness and wellness company, I oversee the day-to-day operations of a multi-site corporate fitness center. I support corporate employees in reaching their goals by bringing awareness to the services of our fitness center and providing both personal training and wellness programming. In our holistic approach to wellness, I help members realize that the reward of investing in their physical health overflows into every other aspect of their lives. I enjoy cultivating relationships, serving as a leader, and helping others achieve their goals. Building a rapport with team members, clients, and stakeholders excites me in my role. What better way to invest in the wellbeing of others than serving as a go-to person, playing a part in high level decision-making, and leading the charge on establishing a healthy lifestyle.My past experience working within the hospital and healthcare industry exposed me to the reactive side of health, where my job began after an individual suffered an illness or injury. I have since discovered my appreciation and passion for the fitness and wellness industry as I have the opportunity to proactively approach health in a way that mitigates illness and injury. Health is wealth takes on a new, deeper meaning!
