Working for a Cocktail Culture was one of the most hands-on learning work experiences I've had yet. As an obvious lover of writing, it is how much of my free time, academic time, and work time is spent. I have always loved helping others and from freshman year, I wanted to work for the Student Success Center as a Writing Tutor. At the time, I was too young and the applications were not yet open to me. At the end of my sophomore year, hiring opened for the 2022-2023 academic year and I applied immediately. Since starting my job as a tutor, I have made connections with students, helped students improve their writing skills, all while strengthening my own skills as a writer. Templar Yearbook is what made me fall in love with journalism. Throughout my time at the yearbook, I have met so many amazing people and learned a lot through interviews for articles. I learned how to write journalistically here, as well as edit articles. Templar was also the first experience I had with print. I will always be grateful for all that I have learned through Templar Yearbook.
