• Played an integral role in a facility expansion to acquire more program space for the Community Based Adult Services II (CBAS II) program, catering to medically fragile, developmentally disabled adults • Contacted, via telephone and email, Care Providers and Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) Service Coordinators, and family members of individuals with disabilities to collect data on whether or not they would be interested in attending the program in the event of an expansion• Organized the collected data into a needs assessment report, that displayed an apparent need to expand the program and presented the report to the Director of Adult Services and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)• Helped with the promotion of the CBAS II program and worked with RCOC to link individuals to appropriate services• Played a significant role in designing the new program area and had the opportunity to analyze blueprints drawn up from the architect• Assisted the Director with writing a submittal letter of justification for the expansion to the city of Orange• Gained vital experience with screening resumes for the Assistant Coordinator position, scheduling interviews and sitting in on the interviews • Served as the quality assurance liaison for the department and assisted with program planning to ensure the program ran smoothly, effectively and in compliance with licensing regulations, on a daily basis• Assessed the consumers’ individualized Occupational Therapy (OT) plans and worked on consolidating the exercises into an organized form to ensure the consumers meet their daily OT requirements• Prepared a portfolio of Title 22 regulations and California Business and Professions Codes pertaining to all disciplines of the department (i.e. Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nutritionist, etc.)• Sat in on a Social Work meeting and gained knowledge on suicide intervention
