I am currently a Senior Release Quality Engineer at Liferay. Prior to that, I was in charge of testing efforts for Liferay’s internal support projects and systems, including Liferay’s help center support site and Liferay’s in-house patching system. I also led a software testing team at Liferay that was responsible for testing several internal projects created in-house and used by our company's employees, customers, and partners. One of my most memorable experiences from Liferay was leading several teams of employees to volunteer in Tohoku, Japan in order to provide assistance to those displaced by the 2011 Earthquake and Tsunami.I am also a Vine Voice for Amazon, an invitation only program, creating reviews for mostly newer products through written as well as photo/video means.I am currently serving as a volunteer at eFree church in Diamond Bar in the worship arts ministry. My main role is playing bass guitar and guitar in the worship band. I have also served on the production team working as a projection and media tech, responsible for the visual experience of Sunday worship services. I previously served in similar roles, in addition to worship director and board member at Xaris church in West Covina.One of my current passion projects is retro game hardware repair and restoration. I have performed basic repairs and upgrades on hardware from the 1990s and early 2000s, many of which consisted of cleaning, soldering, and parts replacements.Another passion project of mine is a gaming YouTube channel called Japan Sim World (https://youtube.com/@japansimworld). I am responsible for producing, editing, and publishing all content on the channel.Previously, I assisted a small business as a part-time senior associate assisting in day-to-day roles related to sales, travel, seminars, marketing, data tracking/analysis, consulting, and technical aspects.I graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in June 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I am a member of the Tau Beta Pi Association (California Nu chapter), Chi Epsilon, the Golden Key International Honour Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta. I also received my Engineer-in-Training certification in January 2010.My passions include empowering people, exploring new ideas, and using whatever knowledge or ability I have (technical or otherwise) to bring about positive change.Outside of work, I also enjoy travel, exploration, volunteering, playing music, cooking, a little writing, video games, and meeting people.
