Developed The Pilot's Friend, a Android app for pilots that displays crosswind information in a simple graphical format. Also developed Skedzilla.com, an online service that allows businesses and non-profits in a variety of fields to schedule resources online. The site is written in Java on the Spring Framework. It uses Spring MVC, JSP and Javascript on the front end and Hibernate and MySql on the back end. Site also integrates with PayPal for payment handling, uses the JavaMail API to send emails and text messages as well as Quartz for system job scheduling. Starting from scratch, Ken performed all design, development and deployment work on the project. He is responsible for all aspects of site operation, promotion, support and maintenance.
