As a certified General Motors and Mopar parts advisor my main job duties are to look up and order automotive parts for counter customers and for vehicles being repaired onsite. This includes correspondence via e-mail, over the phone and in person. I run the monthly software updates to the parts catalogs. Monthly financial forecast spreadsheets are completed by the parts manager and myself. Annual inventory count worth approximately $250k is done by myself and 2 other employees.

As a co-owner of this establishment I handled all of the business office duties. This began as research and learning which continued throughout the lifespan of the business. I had to teach myself every aspect of properly running a business from payroll to obtaining work comp insurance to financial planning and analysis. Starting from scratch and teaching myself to run a business I was able to turn a small profit after one year. Sadly, we closed the doors shortly after being open for a year. There's a saying, "don't start a business with friends or family". Let's just say I learned why this saying exists.

This was an electronic music studio where I created instrumental tracks. Some of these had vocals recorded over them using multi-track recording software and hardware. The instrumentals were created utilizing both software and hardware synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, keyboards and effects. Prior to starting the studio I took a basic electronic music course. The course only explained what the equipment was used for, not how to use it. The operation of the equipment was entirely self taught.

I designed and installed custom car audio systems, alarms, and in-vehicle cellular phones. Ohm's Law and math skills were needed to properly match amplifiers and speakers in the system design phase. Test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and dB meters were used during and after the install.
