My primary job is to analyze operational requirements and constraints within various PeopleSoft modules (Benefits, Time and Labor, Payroll and Human Resources) in order to implement programs and correct individual records for 15,000 county employees. I utilize a combination of PeopleSoft set up tables, custom queries, and custom Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to audit existing programs, diagnose root problems, and implement corrective action when needed.I manage King County’s compliance with all requirements of the Affordable Care Act. I track 15,000 employees and measure their eligibility for medical benefits, coordinating with HR to ensure employees maintain their health coverage throughout all applicable stability periods. I also manage all IRS reporting requirements related to the ACA, to include validating data on IRS Forms 1095, correcting forms as needed, and recording/paying all associated fees.Additionally, I manage King County’s compliance with the Washington State Paid Sick Leave law (Initiative 1433), troubleshoot and fix errors during the county’s bi-weekly payroll production process, and validate leave accruals across 35 leave plans. I also manage the county’s Paid Parental Leave program, enrolling and monitoring over 300 employees annually.
