In this role, I played a strategic role in the achievement of the Sexual reproductive health and rights project objectives through high quality programming focusing on youth - especially those in universities -, girls in transition and women. I also coordinated and oversaw the work of youth groups in 7 counties and four universities in western Kenya. I was able to enhance Ipas-Africa Alliance visibility in 7 western Kenya Counties and Universities through facilitation of appropriate collaboration, networks and partnership building among stakeholders thereby positioning the organization as strategic and indispensable partner in reproductive health matters.

In this role I was able to work effectively with the Regional Manager, Staff, volunteers peer educators, youth groups and community to create demand for Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) and Family Planning (FP) services for youth aged 10-24 years by coordinating socio-mobilization, youth activities and provision of youth friendly services and also organizing and facilitate trainings for health service providers, youth and community.Besides, prepared work plans and budgets as required and also Liaised with government agencies across the country in implementing project objectives.

In this role, I coordinated and managed the day-to-day project operations in the Youth project and the successful implementation of all MSK Youth project nationally. Led in representation and advocacy for MSK work and organizational priorities with a wide range of external parties including government representatives, youth, communities, donor and other health leaning agencies.I was also able to work effectively with the Director of Programs, Staff and community to develop and implement the youth HIV and AIDS prevention strategy by coordinating youth activities and capacity building; managing Community HealthCare Volunteers (CHVs) and Youth Peer educators (YPEs), socio-mobilization. Besides, prepared annual, quarterly and monthly work plans and budgets as required.

I coordinated the management of the HELP project’s capacity building and mentorship plan with the beneficiaries in various parts of Nairobi County. I effectively ensured monitoring of implementation of the planned activities by designing and developing the peer education concept and also giving technical support to continuous capacity building for house-helps .In addition, I was able to support the development of the Health and Life skills training manual and also strengthening the technical and management capacity of the partner institutions. Besides, I was able to work in close collaboration with the other programme staff, operations team, and other FHI and KU partners.
