High School Advisor
CurrentMotivate and assist 9th-12th graders to enroll and graduate from college by helping them identify financial aid, scholarship and post-secondary educational opportunities. Assist students select colleges and prepare college applications, financial aid documents, test registration and fee waiver forms. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, parents, counselors, principals, federal and local college administrators, college admission and financial aid staff. Utilize computers to enter and maintain student data profiles, college financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Professionally represent and communicate DC-CAP’s mission and objectives to students, parents, teachers, schools, administrators and the community at large through seminars, presentations, group and one-on-one counseling.
