Assist truck drivers in unloading and returning credit items, ensuring that items are returned to proper storage location, and verifying that Return Credit Authorization is filled out entirely and submitted.Unload incoming freight and verify the count to see if it is correct.Complete all necessary reports; check orders filled, check material received, and complete forklift inspection forms.Load and safely handle customer orders.Maintain knowledge of proper identification of inventory items.Locate and pull correct items by type, style, and quantity as directed by the supervisor to fill order completely, quickly, and accurately.Perform basic yard housekeeping duties by leveling lumber units and stacks, picking up and disposing of all garbage (especially cut metal banding), and reporting any unsafe conditions to Yard Foreman.Assist with cycle counts and inventory control as needed.Comply with specified company dress code.Assist supervisor, employees, and other work areas as needed.Attends staff, departmental meetings, and safety and health training, as required, on time.Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy.Observes and practices all safety procedures and policies.Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies procedures (e.g., safety glasses, earplugs, face shields, etc.) to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment.Travels as required.Other duties as assigned.
