I spent 5 years on active duty in the US Navy. My rate was a Information Systems Technician & Radioman. I gained a Top Secret Clearance and was awarded the Naval Achievement Medal. I went to school in San Diego for about a year and also additional specialized C schooling in Norfolk, VA. I was rated top in my class both times. My primary duties consisted of handling all of the Communications for the ship, setting up circuits, troubleshooting circuits and also the implementation of a shipwide network.The majority of my time was spent aboard the USS Simpson, FFG-56 of which we out to Alot, including tours overseas. In all, I went to 13 countries and 38 states.
