I have worked for Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in Tupelo, MS since May of 2004 and have worked in the Information Technology department since October of 2005. I have held a wide range of positions while in the IT department. I started out as a technician setting up desktops and printers and troubleshooting all IT related problems. I then moved into a systems developer role using Visual Basic.NET, Oracle, and MS SQL Server and was in this role for nearly 6 years. The following 6 years, I spent as Systems Administrator for both network and server administration where I managed and configured Cisco network switches and helped manage the VMware environment for the Tupelo plant. I moved into an IT Business Analyst role where I was responsible for putting together a Functional Design to meet the requirements for application change requests and then testing those changes once they were made to make sure that the requirements have been met. In 2017 I was offered a Quality Engineer position due to my IT experience and I accepted. I spent time managing the recipe system for testing tires and mining data to improve process in the department. I also began installing new testing equipment to company standards and at the same time became a Subject Matter Expert on a few of the machine types in the Finishing Department. As a result, I was offered a Senior Uniformity Engineer Role where I assisted with the acceptance of all tire testing machines in the company. I continued to mine data for in this role due to lack of systems to handle the needs at the time. When Goodyear bought Cooper Tire, I accepted a position as Senior Process Engineer in the Tupelo Plant and became the Subject Matter Expert in almost all processes in the Finishing Department. I also created a scheduling system that was used to help optimize the flow through Finishing by taking a proactive approach to making changes rather than a reactive approach. In October of 2023 I applied for the IT Manager position in the Tupelo Plant. I was told thatI was the person for the job at the beginning of 2024 and officially moved into that position in Febuary of 2024.
