As the principal Supply Chain member to the Connected Buildings New Product Introduction (NPI) Team (indoor, commercial, and industrial lighting) at Eaton's Lighting headquarters in Peachtree City, GA, I worked with Marketing, Strategic Sourcing, Program Management, and the Engineering Teams to develop and execute layered supply chain strategies supporting new product development and the launch of lighting solutions from Voice of the Customer (VOC), through concept development, design, manufacture, and release to market of cutting edge LED lighting products.

As a member of the Outsourced Services Solutions (OSS) Procurement Team, I sourced Professional Services from a $130M supply base in the US and Canada. On a daily basis, I acted as the principle liaison between Suppliers and internal stakeholders to document requirements, refine project specifications, craft optimal sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing and terms,and engage preferred suppliers to meet or exceed validated business requirements.Commodities Sourced included:ATM Units and Banking Equipment | Digital Signage | Security Services | Cable Installation and Maintenance Services | Outsourced Field Labor | Cash In TransitHighlights:• Generated over $1.1M in savings by leading contract negotiations that implemented tiered rebate structures and provided year over year reductions to established pricing with key suppliers. • Cut project bidding cycle time 70% on over 60 RFx actions through development of unique, commodity specific scope documents that standardized project and pricing specifications, and streamlined documentation of requirements, preparation of bid packages, receipt and evaluation of supplier proposals, pricing negotiations, and project award.• Increased share of spend to preferred suppliers from 52% to 73%, allowing Line of Business stakeholders to exceed a 90% achievement of margin targets in 2012 and 2013.

As a Global Supply Chain Manager, I owned strategic Supplier relationships and:- Identified, selected and qualified suppliers to provide full life cycle Spare Parts and Repair services - Audited and measured supplier performance via formal scorecard and business review processes- Worked with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to identify potential supply chain interruptions and developed plans to reduce risksHighlights:• Coordinated order management, forecasting, procurement, direct and indirect component sourcing, and production of Service parts, kits and assemblies in a $300M multi-commodity supply chain sourced from external and internal manufacturing plants, OEMs, distributors, resellers and a diverse repair supplier base in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Central and Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region.• Sustained on-time delivery performance at 90% or greater on products and services by conducting weekly performance evaluations, monthly scorecard assessments, and Quarterly Business Reviews between internal stake holders and suppliers.• Negotiated a Business to Business (B2B) relationship that resulted in $299K in inventory reduction, $52K in transportation savings, and reduced warranty/repair turnaround times from over 60 days to seven days by redirecting these services from a manufacturing source in China to a local provider in Atlanta. • Slashed inventory lead times from over 100 days to an average of 20 days at two manufacturing sites by designing, negotiating, and deploying NCR’s first “binding forecast” strategy for Service spares. • Planned and executed the on-site transition of repair operations in Argentina from an internal to an outsourced repair model. Improved repair cycle times from an average of 21 days to less than seven days and generated repair savings totaling $120K in 9 months.

Throughout my 21 years as a Marine Officer, I held command and staff positions of increasing scope and responsibility in Marine Corps and in Naval and Joint Command assignments in the US and abroad, predominantly in the Asia-Pacific Region. In the "kinda cool" department, I am pictured in the Marine Corps document, "A Brief History of the 6th Marines", page 149, third man back on the left of the formation. I am also honored to be mentioned several times in the book, "Marine Rifleman" by Col. Wesley Fox, Medal of Honor winner. I served as his Battalion S-2 and Headquarters and Services Company Commander in the First Battalion, Sixth Marines from 1980-1983.
