Annicka was an acclaimed "New Age New American" restaurant in Greenpoint Brooklyn focusing on New York State products, whole animal butchery, and creative vegetable-focused cooking. I designed menus and steps of service, developed recipes and operations, hired kitchen and service staff, collaborated on design and business strategy, and managed kitchen staff.

Bruno was an acclaimed modern Italian restaurant in the East Village in New York City, known for grinding organic flour in house to created a signature sourdough wood-fired pizza. We were known for experimental pizzas, intricate salads and pastas, and stark minimalist design. In 2015 Bruno was awarded Restaurant of the Year by Eater NY and a James Beard award for interior design.

Janesville, Wisconsin

The Rock County Folk Symposium (RCFS) was a one-of-a-kind music and arts festival held annually in Janesville, Wisconsin. RCFS featured site-specific art installations and celebrated the best in local music, food, and drink. Originally created to showcase the musical talent in our community, over the course of five years, the symposium grew in size and scope to encompass varying genres of music, film, and performance art.I took part in the overall planning and implementation of the festival, including creative direction, product development, overall theme and design, marketing and promotion, and more. Individually, I was in charge of booking and talent buying, stage management, and food and beverage.

Madison, Wisconsin

The Project Lodge was a DIY music & arts venue in downtown Madison, Wisconsin hosting a variety of visual and performance arts, regional & national music, community events, pop-up dinners & stores, poetry readings and much more. As the manager of the space, I planned the calendar, booked art & music, acted as lead stage manager, managed the day-to-day budget and administration, led a rotating team of volunteers, set up and tore down sound & stage at various events, led marketing & promotion efforts & much more. In conjunction with my senior thesis in community organizing, I also planned and led a Kickstarter campaign and fundraising drive for the Project Lodge that raised more than $11,000.

I planned and executed a series of statewide grower-oriented workshops to help local farmers overcome barriers to institutional markets & created farm-to-school legislative action plans as part of the Buy Local Buy Wisconsin program.
