Support of several automotive manufacturing and assembly facilities in the areas of water and waste management. Administer a corporate environmental laboratory program for the analysis of waste water/storm water samples.

Various Delphi Sites

Training environmental personnel in data management techniques used to acquire material usage records. The usage records are then reformatted for use with various environmental reporting tools.

-Chairman/Admin of site Hazcom program for 19 years. Development and use of MS Access apps to manage a library of ~5000 active Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and departmental approved material inventories. -Preparation/submission of EPCRA 302, 311,312 and 313 reports, serving as corporate subject matter expert for several years. Assisted in preparation of other regulatory reports.-ISO14001 program participation: procedure review/editing, environmental aspect review and auditing. TS16949 program/auditor training.-Team member for development of a standardized method prepare Mexico’s COA report beginning with the 2006 reporting year. MS Access databases were developed to process purchasing records from multiple purchasing systems into a common format. Purchasing data is then linked to chemical information. Several million records are processed annually.-Technical reviewer for Delphi’s corp. MSDS database since 2009. Select MSDS data elements are entered into a database and linked to a pdf MSDS image. The database supports multi-lingual MSDS images. Developed competency in the use of multiple web-based translation tools to review and process German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Romanian, Polish, Italian and French data sheets.-Oversight of Site Chemical Management Program. Review of program financial performance, cost savings initiatives, material purchases, etc.-By-products coordinator for approximately two years. Helped identify new streams to be sold for recycling and suggested methods to receive additional value from existing scrap streams.-Substantial experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Developed many MS Access data management and manipulation applications, including creation of user menus, etc.-Maintenance/editing of existing corporate environmental web pages with Macromedia Dreamweaver.-Use of SAP to query/download purchasing records to support environmental reporting (including data manipulation).

-Infrared Spectrometry used for the identification of various plastics, material contaminants in support of engineering activities and manufacturing support.-UV-Visible Spectrophotometry used to measure phosphorus concentrations in gasoline and other various analyses.-Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry used to quantitate lead and manganese concentrations in gasoline.-Gas Chromatography and X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry techniques used in the quantitation of sulfur and phosphorus concentrations in gasoline.-Operation and maintenance of real-time x-ray equipment for non-destructive examination of parts/materials. Operation and minor maintenance of a scanning electron microscope.-Multiple Thermal Analysis techniques used for a variety of engineering and manufacturing support projects.-Experience with multiple used engine oil analysis techniques used to predict remaining useful oil life.-Some experience in manufacturing supervision (injection molding) during employee training program.
