As a solutions architect for IP physical security/low voltage solutions I design, implement, and train end users on complex low voltage systems managed by their IT network. Systems such as Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Intercom/Distributed Audio, VoIP, and Wireless with most able to take advantage of PoE technology thus reducing cost and maximizing efficiency. Integrating each system to be accessible from one GUI interface (single pane) in most cases. Utilizing Cisco’s network infrastructure(routers, switches, servers and AP’s) and most cases their line of physical security products I am able to leverage available storage and network bandwidth to provide the latest analytics tools that will enhance IP technology that can turn a camera from just surveillance to a people counter or wrong way detection. With years of automation/integration and system design under my belt, and always being on the front line of the latest technology trends I urge my customers to start to consider IoT (Internet of Things). With more devices being added onto the network you need an engineer with experience that can prepare your company for the demands of doing business now and plans for future growth and expansion.
