Similar work to my previous role, with the notable additions of helping integrate the electronic audit program and insolvency based work. Period of employment included secondments to (i) the Dublin office of RSM during 2004 to lead the audits of listed funds and (ii) the private equity industry in 2006.

Relocated following passing all ACCA exams, having studied and learnt the Professional stage syllabus without any tuition support. Main area of work was in financial services audits, but also included manufacturing, retail and charity audits due to my background and experience in accounts preparation and physical stock-takes. Also worked with the tax department on specific engagements, again due to previous experience; this time in the areas of VAT, personal and corporate taxes.

Located in Edinburgh, I worked for the audit partner of the firm on a number of audit engagements primarily within the manufacturing industry on a part-time basis whilst I was also engaged in a full-time education course.

I joined the firm of chartered accountants from university and in my time there progressed from book-keeper through to general office manager and assistant to the audit partner.
