I help individual clients, teams and companies create and build better products. My career track is unconventional, including inventions and breakthroughs in satellite technologies, telecommunications, international trade, and a little bit of rock n' roll. I consider this diversity of experience to be my greatest asset. - I invented the first practical wireless microphone and guitar system. Bands adopting the Schaffer-Vega Diversity System included nearly every major touring rock group in the late 70s-90s. - I developed a complex satellite tracking system for that made it possible for US agencies and universities to monitor the live, internal television of the then-Soviet Union. - I conceived of and executed a project for the fledgling Discovery Channel for which it tripled its cable audience and won the National Cable Television Association's "Golden Ace" award. - I founded a company to bring modern voice communication to western companies operating in the then-Soviet Union, later selling company to COMSAT (Lockheed Martin). - I conceived of project which brought the iconic Boris Grebenshikov, often described as the "Bob Dylan/John Lennon of Russia"​ to the US and Columbia Records. . The 2 year odyssey was documented by the late director Michael Apted in the feature film, 'The Long Way Home.'​ - I invented and introduced the concept of 'placeshifting' with TV2Me, which for the first time made it possible to for cable/satellite subscribers to access their home subscriptions globally- For ABC-TV: I delivered the idea, technology and onsite execution that sent Canadian climbers up Mt. Everest and delivered live to ABC's "NightLine" the ascent live, almost through the eyes of the climbers. That's an "unusual" mix of experience, achievements, supporters and associations that still cooks and moves me to synthesize fresh ideas. I'm open to opportunities.
