As the leader of the Automation, Monitoring, Capacity Management and ITSM Development team, I provided direction, set strategy and aligned IT investments with the mission and goals of DST. My management team and I were responsible for the development, growth and retention of 70 DST employees.  Directed the implementation and upgrade of an enterprise wide Remedy implementation, starting at version 7.6.04 in 2012 and ending on version 9.01 in April 2016. Directed the implementation of a network and server discovery solution Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping (ADDM@BMC) to populate corporate CMDB with newly discovered devices and relationships on a regular basis. Designed and implemented the first Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure, resulting in thousands of hours of manpower savings and a decrease in time to deliver from weeks to hours for server provisioning.  Created Automation team which was able to provide over 8,000 man hours of savings per month by providing automation on 2,500 UNIX (SOLARIS/AIX/RHEL/HP-UX) and 2,900 Windows (2003/2008/2012) servers. Created a combined Capacity Planning team and instituted monthly demand meetings with Business Units. The team created very detailed monthly capacity reports for both the Mainframe and Distributed environments. Directed the management of the monitoring infrastructure for 2,500 UNIX, 2,900 Windows and 1,700 Network devices, as well as the management of the Event Correlation/Management System Directed the implementation of Application Performance Management (APM) on over 1,200 application instances at DST, saving thousands of hours of development time dramatically reducing the MTTR on application related incidents.

Responsible for the all aspects of the Unix and Storage platforms for the Winchester Data Center. Responsible for creation and maintenance of budgets of $25 Million annually. Established teams that researched, designed and implemented solutions for expanding Business Demand and advancing technical direction Architected and Delivered Unix based File Sharing infrastructure for the eCommerce environment that is still in use today. Provided Executive leadership to the Project Management Office that managed over 100 concurrent IT related projects, supporting multiple, diverse business units. Managed several large Vendor relationships, driving reductions in costs while expanding support coverage.

Kansas City, Missouri Area

Created and staff the Distributed Systems Team which was responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the core and ancillary infrastructure for the first eCommerce based application at DST (FanWeb/Vision) still in use today.  Created the Organizational structure, consisting of 30 IT professionals who under my direction designed and maintained the environment. Developed and implemented Operational and Security processes to ensure the environments were both operational and secure. Implemented Software Compliance policies to ensure the company stayed within compliance. Designed, implemented and supported a software product for DST which provided customers the ability to transfer files to/from DST via FTP to our non-IP based Mainframes. Managed a $5 Million annual budget.

Fort Meade, Maryland

Section Supervisor for a classified operations infrastructure organization of 30 people responsible for the development and implementation of a configuration management scheme, as well as integration of an operational test and evaluation network into an existing large scale network. Responsible for continuous operations of the network infrastructure while coordinating its replacement and enhancement by an ATM network. Technical lead in a campus-wide multi-architectural network consisting of 45 operational servers and 100 Local Area Networks (LAN) supporting over 2000 users. Maintained Top Secret+ Security Clearance.

Fort Meade, Maryland

Integral team member in a shop that provided Systems Administration for a large scale network supporting a wide range of user skills. Developed software tools for seamless integration of new hardware and software into current system environment. Evaluated performance of the servers, networks, and software. Provided guidance to a staff of 10 junior System Administrators. Maintained Top Secret+ security clearance.
