My background in Legal and IT provides the knowledge to help clients in the following areas.► E-Discovery / Strategic Planning Services: While many of my current client engagements involve creating the strategy for handling e-discovery with respect to a given legal matter, I have performed strategic planning services for a variety of firms and in a variety of subjects.Clients choose to work with me because I have degrees in both Legal and IT. The most common specific challenge I help clients with is that IT doesn’t understand what Legal wants/needs and Legal doesn’t understand the ramifications on IT of the requests that Legal makes. My background helps me to effectively get these 2 different sides communicating in a way that will get both sides what they need more efficiently and cost effectively because I’ve lived in the shoes of both parties countless times. ► Sales / Sales Engineering: Since I am often the go-to person for creating the functional specification for a new system design or implementation, I am often called upon to assist with Sales and Sales Engineering because I can explain how a system will satisfy the client’s needs without getting lost in the proverbial weeds. ► Solution / Product Design: I have created a variety of solutions in both software and hardware for solving particular problems or satisfying unmet needs. As an example. I am currently working with a partner to build a registry for an industry that does not currently have one and for which many false (or likely false) claims are being made. The solution is one based both on software and certification which has the potential to greatly expand this new and growing industry.I've done additional work in data acquisition strategies, data reduction strategies, data processing analysis, data searching methodologies, legal review strategies, ESI content mapping, and production strategies.
