-Government Project Officer- Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH), Mental Health Block Grants, Disaster Response State Grants, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Grants, plus other grants.-Participate in SAMHSA workgroups (ex. PATH, Veterans); conduct data analysis and write official correspondence.

-Detailed to ALL INside as a Federal Team Lead for Phoenix/Maricopa County.-The ALL INside Initiative is the US Interagency Council on Homelessness and White House Domestic Policy Council Initiative focused on supporting those experiencing unsheltered homelessness in five cities (Phoenix, Los Angeles, Denver, Seattle, Chicago, and Dallas) and the entire State of California.-The ALL INside Initiative is a key part of All In: The Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness. All In set the bold goal to reduce overall homelessness 25% by 2025.-ALL INside is a first-of-its kind initiative to address unsheltered homelessness across the country.-Federal Team Lead duties include, but are not limited to:(1) Build community relationships and serve as the primary federal point of contact for Phoenix/Maricopa.(2) Partner with the community and federal experts to develop an actionable workplan.(3) Provide day-to-day coordination and leadership of federal agency experts from across government.(4) Provide strategic advice to community leadership focused on unsheltered homelessness.(5) Track progress and identify risks to the project success, problem solve and escalate as needed.(6) Work across complex systems, develop actionable plans, and lead interdisciplinary teams.(7) Build capacity of local governments and organizations to respond to, reduce, and prevent unsheltered homelessness.

-Co-lead- Bureau of Health Workforce Grantee Engagement Plan, incorporated variety of initiatives into one effort. -Served on review committees, study groups, public health task groups, or many other agency-wide workgroups.

-Coordinated and moderated a Roundtable on Workforce Pipeline Programs: A Discussion with Federal Partners. Completed extensive outreach and engagement to like-minded program experts at the following Departments and Agencies: Department of Labor, Department of Education, Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Agriculture, the National Science Foundation and every internal HHS Agency partner.-Managed nearly 50 individual Nursing scholarship awardees and awarded over $200,000 inunder six months.

-Subject matter expert on homeless and public housing issues; created talking points for HRSA leaders at five national meetings.-Connected and followed-up with HHS Secretary Burwell’s staff; ensured she successfully presented at the May 2015 National Health Care for the Homeless conference.-Closely collaborated with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on National Father’s Day and a five-city case study project on the successful partnerships between health centers and public housing authorities.

-Selected to start a new HRSA office, first Office of Special Health Affairs employee (OSHA).-Served a Rear Admiral who was the first OSHA Director and prepared, edited, and submitted for clearance his 21 presentations.-Successfully implemented the OSHA strategic planning meeting in October 2010.

-Developed daily reports for the HRSA Administrator during the 2009 March-May Midwestfloods in North Dakota and Minnesota.-Reported and tracked pertinent details during the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic and kept HRSA grantees aware of the best treatment and preventive options available.-Organized meetings with national stakeholder groups that resulted in new collaborative efforts between federal and non-federal organizations

-Directly interacted with the Assistant Secretary for Health under the Department of Health and Human Services; kept him aware of all upcoming National Vaccine Program Office (NVPO) challenges and successes through weekly reports.-Coordinated $4 million in Interagency Agreements (IAAs) for NVPO’s Strategic Issues in Vaccine Research program through coordinating the objective evaluations.-Evaluated activities across HHS Departments and private vaccine manufacturers to ensure appropriate communication with the NVPO for pandemic preparations.

-Deployment/Travel Medicine, Food Safety, Communicable Disease Surveillance and Control, Occupational Health, Health Program Management, Immunizations.-Deployed separately to Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia; served in deployment role for 20% of my total AF service.-Deployments in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.-Managed 10 to 12 personnel on Public Health teams that completed AF Base surveillance for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), Tuberculosis (TB), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and West Nile Virus (WNV), among other diseases of public health significance.-Directed STI, TB, HIV, WNV base-wide education, medical provider training, disease tracking and reporting.
