Kent Hansen, the Business Program Chair at the Broadview University Layton Campus, holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management/Training from Chapman University in Orange CA and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of the State of New York in Albany, NY. He is retired from the U.S. Navy where he spent a 22-year career as a public relations professional with extensive experience in radio, television, newspapers and public affairs. Following his military service, Kent served as Community Relations Director for the Utah Department of Transportation and as Communications Director for the Utah Travel Council. He teaches most of the business classes, including Business Communication, Small Business Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Customer Service, Leadership and Management and Consumer Behavior. An avid reader, Kent can often be found peering into his Kindle. He also enjoys cartooning, sculpting and directing and acting in musical theatre.
