I have served the citizens of Hanover with the Hanover County Sheriff's Office since 1994. During that time I have served as a Patrol Deputy, Vice/Narcotics Investigator, DEA Task for Officer, General Investigator, Sergeant of Uniform Patrol, Assist Director for the Hanover County Criminal Justice Training Academy, Sergeant of Vice/Narcotics, Patrol Lieutenant, Personnel Officer, and Captain of the Judicial Administration Division. I have long term vision and am able to put that vision into practice. The following are a few examples of how I put vision into practice. While working on my Bachelor's Degree I completed a project thesis that resulted in the implementation of a Bike Patrol Team. While assigned to the DEA Task Force I worked on several large scale multi-state drug investigations to include petitioning for and obtaining a Title III wire intercept. For this work I was awarded the Eastern District of Virginia Law Enforcement Public Service Award. This investigation also cleared a cold case homicide in Richmond, VA. While I was the Assistant Director of the Hanover County Criminal Justice Training Academy I attended the Cooper Institute in Dallas Texas. When I returned I created an exercise facility at the Academy and established a recruit fitness plan that has been on all academies since. I have been a member of the High Risk Entry Team. the Commander of the Search and Rescue Team and Commander of the Crisis Negotiation Team.
