Analyzes equipment utilization and determines the best fleet management strategies for all company owned/rental equipment & production facilities (valued at over $40,000,000). While working within the Altec Production System (APS) – a manufacturing philosophy and set of principles based around Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 8D – Problem Solving, and the mentality of “having what you need, when you need it, in the exact quantity you need,” responsibilities include:Understanding different product lines and the systems/rules/process required for each. Implementing containment, corrections, and corrective action to addressed high occurrence and or high cost Warranty/DPU (defects per unit) items. Analyzing DPU and Warranty data, to pinpoint problematic areas within the production process then communicating with production associates, auditors, and other engineering departments (Applications and Manufacturing) to root cause and address these issues through awareness, process changes, or design changes. Participating in Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) Initiatives where a major problem/task is solved over the course of one week, and results are verbally reported back to the greater team at the end of the event.

Assisted with the production and safety oversight at five of Virginia Paving Company's asphalt plants in Northern Virginia. Responsibilities included holding monthly safety meetings, performing safety inspections on plant equipment, components, and assets, writing monthly safety reports, and building a personal understanding of the asphalt production process and asphalt plant operation.Other tasks included monthly cost reviews, budgeting for and completing capital expenditure projects, as well as performing mechanical repairs/maintenance to ensure high quality asphalt mix production.
