Hi, I'm Kent! I am a Computer Science/Mathematics student with a passion for Data Science. I am very familiar with Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.), other Microsoft Suite tools (Power BI, Power Automate) and am also well-versed in Pythonic machine learning libraries and associated numerical libraries (sklearn, pytorch, scipy, pandas, etc). From my previous experiences, I have developed experience with data warehousing (Microsoft Fabric), and cloud computing for heavy workloads and process optimization (Microsoft Azure, AWS Redshift, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS RDS).By applying my mathematical foundation from school and the technical skills I picked up via on-the-job experience and self-guided learning, I excel at creating data-backed insights and suggestions, and at eloquating stories behind data for stakeholders.I am currently working in my role as the Marketing Data Analytics Intern at Vallourec USA Corp, where I leverage much of my skill in deriving statistical models that allow for pricing optimization and give a head-start over the rest of the industry in terms of well drilling information.Outside of school and work, I love to play online chess and find good food to eat with friends and family.I am currently applying and looking for entry-level positions with opportunities that will help me get a head start in the industry.
