Have been very fortunate in that the first part of my work career (8 years) while in the US Army was to help find and protect folks from the bad guys and the second part (the past 30+ years) has been to help the good guys/gals (all K-12 students, parents, teachers and administrators) and provide them skills, knowledge, hope and opportunity for the future. KY K-12 has been the pioneer and national leader in most aspects of education technology since 1992. Have also been a board member and volunteer youth coach of 5 different sports over the past 20 years, which has been my way of giving back to my state and local community. Lastly being the father of 4 children, grandfather of 3 young grandchildren and trying my best to be a dedicated/loving son, brother, husband, uncle, nephew & cousin has taught me the most and is my greatest source of strength and motivation while at the same time keeps me extremely humble and grounded.Specialties: Public facing roles that interact with legislators, sr management, news media, parents, teachers, and students; Technology leadership (large scale technology operations/change, can translate techno speak to human speak, very in tune with the educational technology needs of K-12 students in rural and urban settings, very in tune with overall educational objectives);Board member: Kentucky Educational Television (KET) for 10 years, liaison to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Board of Control for 15 years and Woodford County Little League baseball for 5 years. Engaged member of community: volunteer youth head coach of 5 different girls and boys sports (girls/boys basketball, girls softball, boys baseball and boys football) for 20 years.
