Qualified in archaeology, anthropology, cultural heritage management and journalism, Donald is a cultural heritage manager with more than a decade of experience with state government agencies and private industry that provide utilities including roads and power to regional Queensland. He is now a cultural heritage subject matter expert for Energy Queensland after formerly having been employed as a cultural heritage and native title liaison officer for the Department of Transport and Main Roads in central Queensland.Donald writes articles and reports and produces audio recordings about Australia's history, heritage and environment for government and private agencies, business and community/interest groups.He specialises in writing about the cultural and natural environment. His subjects include indigenous and historic heritage, industrial archaeology, climate change, food sustainability, and seed banking.Donald has more than 25 years' experience in working with regional and rural communities to provide communications services as a writer, editor, researcher and broadcaster.
