- Currently focusing on the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Control Work stream and supporting the NatWest Markets CDD Controls.- Working collaboratively with the functions to resolve the current controls issue. Through understanding the policies, mandatories procedures and associated risks to design and develop assurance activity to test their key controls adequacy and effectiveness.- Leading the Adequacy Testing, Script writing and Effectiveness testing for over 50 controls in line with the Operation Risk Handbook. - Identifying risk gaps in controls and constructively challenge and engage with stakeholders to close the risk gaps. - Supporting the functions Incident Management by leading the forum and engaging with the key stakeholder on outstanding actions. - Supporting the function with Issue Management. Through reviewing Issue Templates and Control Not Implemented Templates and providing constructive feedback. - CDD UK Business Continuity Plan Management. - Coaching Team Members to upskill them on control testing. This is through providing them with development opportunities to improve their knowledge and confidence and provide constructive feedback to recognise their strengths and provide areas for continued development.

- Focusing on Business Banking Switch and testing the front lines compliance in line with the operation risk framework to the regulator’s requirements. - Analyse test results and prepare and share results and report to enable frontline business to embed changes, improve customer services and mitigate risks.- I successfully lead and undertake a defined control testing programme within the Commercial Business for a team remotely located. I identify areas which require controls testing, co-ordinating test, setting up new tests, leading tests, creating reports, and feeding back improvements to the current process providing coaching and training where required.- KYC Remediation Testing. Assurance tested the Banks KYC remediation to ensure in line with FCA guidelines. - Creating action plans, providing support and follow through of completion with the front line to ensure identified areas are embedded in the Business. This has been done in several ways including preparing presentations, board packs, having difficult conversations and running workshops to obtain creative solutions.- I confidently lead and attend audios and/or face to face meetings with different stakeholders to drive improvements to the risk profile of the Commercial Business. - I have championed the implementation of Commercial Risk Assessments within the W&G Business and have set up and supported the business-wide risk and controls assessment of processes and infrastructure. Ensuring policies, processes and standards are in place to identify, assess, measure, manage and report operational risk, including identification of systemic operational risk. - This role also included being part of the risk team looking to set up a challenger bank. Conducting Risk & Controls and Process testing to enable the bank to move forward.

Processing applications, undertaking requisition of Loan Documentation, Security and Valuations and ensuring Conditions of Sanction are met. - Day to day tasks to meet Credit Stewardship and operational risk responsibilities such as testing Covenants, keying of Financial and Management Information and annual renewal of facilities.- KYC & KYB Remediation. Including Source of Wealth and Source of funds. Ensuring these are within FCA guidelines.- Day to day transaction monitoring. Through payment referrals and customer requests I was the first line of defense in spotting suspicious activity.- Customer Onboarding. Completed FCA requirements for KYC and KYB onboarding customers and conducted periodic reviews to ensure over time that we were still compliant. - KYC & KYB Remediation. Including Source of Wealth and Source of funds. Ensuring these are within FCA guidelines.- Day to day transaction monitoring.
