New educator with demonstrated effectiveness in working with children. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Slippery Rock University with a degree in chemistry and concentration in biochemistry. I have a history of customer service experience through my work at Mission BBQ. While there, I was awarded Teammate of the Month, promoted to a certified trainer, and transferred locations to help support a newly opened location. From summer 2016-present I’ve served as an extended care assistant, senior counselor, and was promoted to Team Leader for my section of camp at Beachmont Christian Ministries. As Team Leader, I carry out the duties of a senior counselor as well as help support new staff, promote staff unity, and report any concerns that may arise to the program manager. I recently made the transition from being a long term substitute teacher with Kelly Education to being a full time teacher with Baltimore County Public Schools. I am excited to be educating students in STEM topics through PLTW and health science curriculum and look forward to seeing how I can grow in the education field. I am currently in BCPS’s Master of Arts in Teaching cohort at Morgan State University. I am looking forward to gaining new knowledge and applying it to my teaching practices to become a more effective educator.
