As a Fellow, I trained with of fellows from other fresh, startup Jewish communities from across the country in innovative engagement with American Jewish living.While at Lab/Shul, I invited Lab/Shul loyals and newcomers into spiritual experiences through pastoral care, rabbinic talks, ritual co-creation, lifecycle meaning-making, and leadership experiences; Irecruited, built and managed new teams of volunteers committed to communal care and to justice work within Lab/Shul community from 0 team leaders to over 50 leaders and 200 participants; I shifted organizational culture and programming from staff-driven to both community- and staff-driven by developing sense of communal responsibility and by leading community organizing trainings for staff and community co-creators; and I created reputation for Lab/Shul as community that shows up for partners, including justice groups, immigration-focused coalitions, and diverse faith communities.
