I provide tailored one-to-one support to enable university students to address their barriers towards learning, created by a particular impairment, e.g. mental health conditions or ASD. This may include: coping with anxiety, concentration difficulties, time management, prioritising workload and creating a suitable work-life balance.

-Line manage a team of Student Learning Coaches;-Mentor and safeguard students' with learning disabilities/difficulties;-Liaise with Local Authorities, education providers, parents/guardians and learner's around EHC plans;-Teach and disseminate information around inclusive learning and accessibility.

Preparing papers for publication, poster presentations submitting 'works in progress', moderating focus groups and enhancing research skills under the supervision of the placement host.Poster presentation: Sexuality in Health, investigating provision of taught and/or resource material about sexuality in health among MSc Health Psychology and/or Psychology of Health courses in the UK. Health Psychology conference, 2012.

Stage 1 of the BPS accredited Health Psychology training route.Research interests: -LGBT health, health behaviours and access to health services; heterosexual assumptions in healthcare, transgender lived experiences. Lesbian and bisexual women's health experiences, beliefs and attitudes towards breast and cervical screening. Sexuality resources/teaching in MSc Health Psychology and/or Psychology of Health courses. -Ethnic minority groups, health behaviours, beliefs, attitudes and uptake of screening. -Childhood obesity, adult obesity, nutrition.-Health promotion, advertising and health, health messages, and delivery of health education.-Doctor-patient communication, patient care, healthcare experience.-Healthcare equality and diversity protocols, health inequalities and government healthcare legislation: the socio-political impact on healthcare institutions and patient care.-Chronic illnesses in Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Neuropsychology. I provided academic support to students studying on a variety of FE courses. In additional to academic support, I also provided pastoral care and liaised within a further education team, aiming to accommodate students learning needs and help students' achieve their full potential in a conducive learning environment.
