My work with Study Abroad UK has enabled me to develop a quality student exchange programme at an affordable price. I am an organiser I do whatever it takes to get the job done. I don't do failure. I am proud of what I do. I change people's lives, I make things happen even when it seems impossible. I open doors, and get things off the ground.I also enjoy supporting the host families, they are not just our volunteers, they are our friends. I feel the same about my staff team too. I always say to my team, when this work feels like a job, you need to quit.. Study Abroad UK has a very low turnover of staff and I can say in all my time very few report in sick. Days off are rare and pretty much unknown. I have a mantra with my team. "If work feels like a job then quit" All my staff have my private mobile number, I don't disappear when the office shuts. About Study Abroad UKYoung people from all over the world come to experience life in Britain and to encourage British young people to become global citizens. They live in carefully vetted host families and are supported by our volunteers and staff. Young people take part in exchanges, work placements, English classes and various other projects and programmes.Study Abroad UK and the Turing SchemeRecently we have been awarded a special grant from the Turing Scheme to send British students abroad. I am very excited about this new project as generally British students can't afford the trip. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am very much enjoying facilitating this programme.
