As an Ophthalmic Assistant, I provide high-quality client service and administrative support to a team of retina specialists and surgeons. I perform various diagnostic tests, such as visual acuity, tonometry, and OCT, and assist with patient education and follow-up. I also manage scheduling and other administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.I have a degree in Optometry from the University of Benin, where I gained a solid foundation in ocular anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology. I also have two years of experience as an Optometrist at Military Hospital Lagos, where I examined, diagnosed, and treated patients with various eye conditions and injuries. Additionally, I worked as an Optometric Assistant/Intern Optometrist at Peak Eye Care Limited, where I honed my skills in refraction, contact lens fitting, and optical dispensing. I am passionate about enhancing eye health and vision for people of all ages and backgrounds. I have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, and I thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. I am always eager to learn new techniques and technologies, and to collaborate with other professionals in the field. My goal is to continue to grow as an Ophthalmic Technician and to pursue further education and training opportunities in the future.
