My personal mission to help others regardless of “who”, is paramount. This passion drives me to be the best at what I do professionally. My experience, training and certifications as an Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI) and Principals of Occupational Safety & Health (POSH) as well as being recognized as a leader in the Travel Risk industry with a hand in writing Travel Risk Management Global ISO Standard, are the cornerstone for my professional dedication. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA to a resilient and tenacious fire fighter, I was cut from the "helping others" cloth. Spending my childhood planning for and preventing household fires (blind folded and in the dark with dad), one could say my profession is simply in my blood. My commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment has been my professional journey since 1992 when I entered a nursing program at the local community college, and my personal journey far beyond that. I am married and a mom to 4 girls in a blended family which through the forces of nature provided me the opportunity to become a home-grown mentor and coach (of life, sports and music). I had such a profound desire to ensure that our daughters developed a great sense of self-esteem, courage and ambition to be who they wanted to be in life and not to let a male-dominated sport or workplace discourage their desires. My mentoring and coaching went far beyond my foursome and into their circle of friends, sports teams and classrooms. As our daughters began fleeing the nest, my eagerness to advocate for a good cause grew beyond young ladies to bully breed dogs. They are the most misunderstood, neglected and discriminated against domesticated animal. I have spent the past 7 years of my life volunteering for a Bully Breed Rescue which went beyond fostering neglected and abused dogs, and planning and hosting charitable events to the grueling fight for the end of breed-specific legislation within our community and state.
