When Government funding (and my full time fixed contract role with WSU finished) I have continued to work with them on an adhoc freelance basis providing video production support to champion video content for their online and social campaigns.- Leading, executing and reporting progress on multiple video, photo and motion graphics projects simultaneously;- Managing pre and post production project components (storyboarding, script writing, voice over talent, retouching, editing etc.);- Shoot and produce regular and recurring video projects while offering innovative ideas for new video content;- Lead the upload, meta tag, asset management and trouble shooting (DAM).

I perform duties as a Freelance Camera Operator and Editor with a variety of clients including corporate, charity and education. Responsible for planning, producing, directing, filming and editing promotional videos, corporate productions and Web based video content using Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite. I am generally responsible for an entire project which includes budgeting and commissioning additional freelancers to ensure the skillset is in place. Using an AGILE project approach to all of my commissioned work and communicating using a technical language level appropriate to them has meant that I have been recommended over and over again and had many repeat clients over the years. Example clients include: National Trust, Sony, Google, Allianz, Cancer Research, University of Southampton, Western Sydney University, Shangri la hotels and Asia foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Providing specialist video production and technical development expertise and teaching, I worked with multiple teams to plan, design, develop and promote online careers resources and including E-learning development for the Careers unit.Here, I created brand and style guidelines for the University-wide publication of online resources, including seeing the University through its change of name and brand look and colour in August 2015. I also oversaw projects through from start to finish and developed resources for use University-wide using software such as FCP / Adobe creative suite and Articulate Storyline that met the new relevant standards and style guidelines and project briefs.Collaborating with subject matter experts and designers, I produced interactive and informative content with Storyline. I also established new courses on Blackboard and ensuring the exported SCORM packages would be disability friendly / accessible and would communicate with the Grade centre to enable reporting.

Creating innovative multimedia content and e-Learning for the university students’ across the globe, I oversaw review of the university’s existing programs of teaching and learning to assess their potential for on-line delivery. Following review, I produced a variety of instructional and developmental multimedia learning solutions from inception to design and development of solutions through to delivery. Collaborating with FutureLearn to create MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), including working with academics to create course content across video, multimedia, blogs and hangouts as well as leading wire frame design and UAT phases. I successfully utilised the ADDIE model to identify recommended solution and designing. I also utilised learning design and pedagogical approaches to create multimedia for use on the VLE (blackboard) and other streaming servers including YouTube.

As an Audio Visual Producer, I led corporate video projects including planning preproduction of ideas, preparing scripts, continuity, story boards and graphics. I performed thorough research and utilized my own knowledge and training to determine format, approach, and content and level/medium. I worked on audio, video, lighting equipment and oversaw monitoring of the clarity of visual images, adjusting audio levels, checking connectors/ cables and resolving and issues through repair of faulty equipment. I also Developed ‘online open day’ for use in virtual environment utilising 360-degree video (virtualopenday.southampton.ac.uk)

As a Digital Media Officer I developed, executed and delivered Highbury’s digital / online marketing strategy. Here, I planned strategies for online, new media, web, e-commerce and SEO to drive the business forward. I also strategized and formulated a digital media plan to position the brand in the digital space.

Utilising my in-depth knowledge of e-Learning, I developed engaging syllabi that conveyed a thorough understanding of the subject. Leading a handpicked team of 4 Student Assistants, I worked with Edexcel to implement strategies for the college’s new BTEC Media Production course. I also successfully maintained and operated the production studio facilities to develop and implement high-yield events college-wide to maximise exposure for new course as well as arranging engaging digital programme schedules.

I worked as a Production Assistant / Marketing Assistant for Power FM and Ocean FM and contributed to the creative input of shows including writing cues and updating scripts. I was responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager in audience development and audience research projects. I successfully assisted in the preparation of printed material, particularly regular newsletters and flyers as well as uploading video material onto the station website using CMS

During my time at the BBC, I worked as the Assistant Producer of BBC South News. This also incorporated working in the transmission gallery ensuring correct output.
