As the Programme Manager and Founder of Nourish and Flourish, I am dedicated to creating positive change through community nutrition support and education. I initiated the Nourish and Flourish programme at SOFEA, in close partnership with the Didcot Primary Care Network & launched in January 2022. Improving eating habits and understanding our nutritional needs is vital for long-term health. The Nourish and Flourish programme is developing free nutritional support within the community through 3 key areas of support:1. Nutritional Therapy Clinic - one to one support in Didcot via referrals from either a GP, Diabetic nurse or social prescriber.2. Nourish and Flourish School Programme - integrating nutrition into the primary year 5 curriculum.3. Nourish and Flourish Kitchen - launched in November 2023 offers a fantastic professional spec kitchen to provision learning opportunities. Initially the kitchen is providing vital lifelong cooking skills training for our SOFEA young people with fabulous Chef Alex Mackay. Operations expanded out to provide learning opportunities for the wider community in Feb & March 2024. Join me on this transformative journey as we work together to embed and expand nutritional support, cultivate cooking skills, and evolve the school programme into a widely available resource.
