(AWS) delivered a STEAM robotics workshop with Lego robots. Our learners built the robots themselves and then coded them so they could move around. The session was designed to improve our young peoples’ skills in teamwork as well as their understanding of new technologies and industries that may interest them in the future. Our learners had a lot of fun attaining new skills and then putting those skills into practice and we’d like to thank Creative Hut and Amazon Web Services for their support in this workshop.

About SOFEA

SOFEA was founded in 2014, with the focus of enabling people to transform their lives. We are a charity head quartered in Didcot with a second location added in Milton Keynes. Using surplus food, we distribute to thousands of people per week, across our local communities. We work with disadvantaged people, (mostly young people) helping them gain qualifications in English and Math, providing work experience and offering wellbeing support.
