I covered Seattle's eclectic and talent-rich hip-hop and electronic music scene. Along the way, I wrote features on national acts such as Erykah Badu and local acts with national ambitions, at least one of whom made it. His name? Macklemore. Besides features for the print edition and web, I was a regular contributor to the Seattle Weekly's Reverb music blog.

- Appointed Senior Editor in April 2008 and promoted to Editor in January 2009 of nationally distributed nightclub trade publication based in New York- Managed freelance editorial staff of 6-10; supervised art department- Worked with the advertising team to create special editions, event sponsorships and other partnership opportunities- Ensured publication.

I wrote my first travel feature while holed up in an apartment on the almost utopian island of Florianopolis, Brazil. That the story centered on the best Vegas party you've never heard of is just one part of the bizarre backstory that brought me to that first, well, story.More adventures followed. I regularly contributed travel features to the paper's.
