As Senior Auditor, I was responsible for all contract cost administration functions for contractor’s having Government contracts. Examined contractual obligations and responsibilities of both the Government and the contractor. Conducted tests and examinations of contractor's specific cost representations, accounting systems and records, internal controls, policies and practices, and other management information pertinent to the audit. Utilized computerized audit techniques and quantitative methods, such as statistical sampling, and risk analysis in order to make audit determinations concerning the accuracy of cost representations, reasonableness of cost proposals, reliability of accounting and information systems, allowability of costs, economy and effectiveness of management policies or operations, and cost avoidance. Collaborated with management officials in client offices to render audit results and advised management of recommendations for improvement in operations.

Responsible for the development and implementation of the cost accounting system for the National Weather Service. Performed professional level accounting and financial analysis work in the maintenance and control of the National Weather Service accounting system.
