Lead project teams in applying a range of tools to improve business processes for ESD customers, partners and employees. Scope projects with the OLT Director, ELT, executive sponsors, managers, and business partners to clarify purpose and desired results. Work with sponsors to develop project charters. Help project teams clarify problems, find performance gaps, determine targets and timeframes, and organize team involvement. Advise teams on appropriate Lean methods. Work with project teams to train teams on Lean methods and carry out improvement projects using Lean methods. Coach, mentor and develop Lean project sponsors in application of Lean tools to support projects: including strategy deployment (A3s), stakeholder analysis, risk assessment, value stream analysis, Kaizen events, root cause analysis, poka-yoke (mistake-proofing), visual management, flow, standard work, 5S, voice of the customer (VOC). Consult with Lean sponsors to cascade the agency strategic plan through the enterprise. Assist leadership in identifying appropriate value streams on which to focus to achieve enterprise-level strategic goals, determining the pace of activity and creating the structure needed to implement and sustain the activity.
