• Hand selected for performing high-level preventative maintenance tasks, system failure analysis, and coordination of repair efforts across 30 US Submarines stationed aboard Naval Submarine Base, New London, in Groton, CT. • Expert in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, operation, and design of multiple US Navy SONAR systems. Performed over 1250 preventative maintenance tasks associated with AN/BQQ-10, AN/BSY-1, AN/BQQ-5, and US NAVY towed array handling systems.• Worked with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Engineers, Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) In-Service Engineering Agents, and both public and private shipyards, to oversee the performance of numerous pre-overhaul availability testing requirements for US Submarines ensuring failures were adequately identified and repaired during shipyard availabilities.• Utilizing 5S methodology principles, managed a test equipment pool of 75 items valued at over $150,000.00.• Generated, tested, and evaluated ten new preventative maintenance tasks associated with US Navy SONAR systems resulting in improved safety conditions for personnel with updated testing locations, failure requirements, and testing conditions. Eliminated outdated maintenance tasks that often lead to the misidentification of faulted components and cost the US NAVY several thousand dollars per failure.• Trained 30 divisions (consisting of 12-15 personnel) on troubleshooting, maintenance, and retest requirements, and test equipment usage culminating in over 2000 hours of on-the-job training.• Through extensive troubleshooting and repair efforts, while providing failure analysis of the lowest replaceable components in a system, was able to prevent the US Navy from contracting unwarranted repairs to outside agencies and supply chains totaling over 4.3 million dollars.

Risks were defined by lead times on either repairs or part availability that could prevent a unit from being able to execute the primary mission.• Attended work scheduling and planning meetings to include work package management and execution reviews, start of scheduled maintenance availabilities, maintenance activity progress reviews and end of scheduled maintenance availability to facility the planning of the high risk preventative maintenance tasks, while working to clear identified deficiencies from these tasks.• Attended Shipyard Planning Meetings to provide engineer and engineering agent inputs to project management teams in both private and public shipyards, ensuring failures were adequately identified, planned for, and repaired during shipyard availabilities.
