Soleno's mission is to design, manufacture, and distribute high quality, primarily HDPE, products for controlling and mastering stormwater. Their customers are supported by a competent team to solve problems related to collecting, conveying, treating, and for storage of storm water. My role on this team was to provide technical service to consulting engineers and municipalities when designing stormwater solutions using their products. My services included, but were not limited to informational presentations, design support, answers to specific technical questions, and construction support.

•Provided structural engineering services for new and existing structures, as part of either fit-ups, renovations, and/or seismic bracing used in commercial, residential, or industrial buildings with a variety of building materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. •Provided building condition assessments and recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and/or demolition. •Reviewed structural calculations, designs, and existing structures to write reports on the observations and comments. •Performed material quantity take-offs and construction estimates. •Worked directly with clients to deliver quality solutions for their structural needs. •Performed on-site reviews of the condition of existing structures, or the conformance to construction drawings of new structures.

•Assisted in the design of structures used in the mining industry, mainly made of steel and reinforced concrete, using applicable industry standards and codes •Worked with project managers, designers, other engineers, and clients to get tasks properly done•Completed design with quality, and within project schedules to deliver on time and satisfy client requirements •Reviewed the construction of structures on surface and underground, then compiled detailed reports to send to other engineers•Created spreadsheets based on current codes and standards to facilitate design calculations•Reviewed other engineers’ work to check against errors •Examples of steel designed in mines are; hoist houses, head frames, shaft bottom, cranes, etc. •Examples of reinforced concrete designed in mines are; footings, foundations, shaft lining, ore pass bulkheads, etc.

•Worked on the design of structural components of mines, using applicable industry standards, engineering guidelines, and codes •Developed and modified spreadsheets to the latest design guidelines to be used as an aid in design and calculation •Worked with experienced engineers, to introduce me to the mining industry as well as structures found in the field •Reviewed reports such as design calculations and estimations, to be sure they were done well without mistakes
