Night Shift Supervisor
CurrentWork with Traumatic Injury Clients. As Supervisor, my job is to make sure staff is trained on company policies, medication administration, placed and utilized to their potential in keeping our clients safe. Certified by the state to dispense oral medications, diabetic injections, drive and assist our clients as needed. Provide physical and emotional support. CPR certified and use of Defibrillator.QPR Certified. Work closely with our local MHA agency in teaching classes on how to de-escalate someone who is in immediate crisis, suicidal. How to communicate, understand their crisis, question why, persuade/help them to get help, and help to find/refer them for help. Hence: QPR, Question, Persuade, ReferFacilitate our local Chapter, Survivors of Suicide. A support group I started about 28 yrs ago after the loss of my best friend to suicide. Hold support meetings twice a month, 1st and 3rd Thursdays. Present at health fairs and conferences.Board member/Secretary for a Non-Profit (501C3), The D.E.S. Foundation.Raise's funds with our annual walk. Funds are used in helping those dealing with a loss from suicide, from house hold bills, funeral expenses, and or counseling/therapy. Public awareness of suicide, depression and mental illness.
