Data scientist, integrator of complex teams, storyteller. I combine over 13 years of industry and academic experience as a principal investigator of a cancer data science group and a genomics bench laboratory with industry experience focused on helping patients with a broader and more urgent impact. My science projects focus on modeling the interface of the immune system and the genetics of an individual cancer. My clinical informatics projects are speeding up the time from research idea to action by connecting data warehousing with clever informatics and good statistical thinking. I have been a key member of teams standing up cellular immunotherapy, cancer genomics pipelines, biospecimen and multi-modal genomics repositories.My statistical work emphasizes non-linear modeling hunting for robust representations of biomarkers and outcomes balanced by clear assumptions and data support.
