Currently a Managing Director in the Financial Crime and Risk Management practice at K2 Integrity with 30 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry. During his ten year tenure at K2 Integrity, Kevin has played a key role in growing the Financial Crime and Risk Management Practice and leading large scale anti-money laundering engagements. Kevin has served as the project leader on an extensive historical transaction review involving up to 150 AML professionals focused on prepaid card activity issued through a US based private label bank. He has also assisted the New York branch of foreign financial institutions as well as domestic based financial institutions with the validation, tuning and implementation of transaction monitoring systems. Additional K2 experience includes leading a team on an OFAC remediation, including the investigation, clearing and documentation of approximately 6,000 alerts and overseeing a Third Party- FIU team that performs business as usual prepaid card transaction monitoring services for a NYC based commercial bank. Prior to joining K2 worked as an Associate Director at Navigant Consulting (formerly Daylight Forensic & Advisory) in their Global Investigations and Compliance practice. At Navigant served as project manager on a large scale KYC file remediation assisting a global financial institution conduct enhanced due diligence and identify high risk attributes on the banks private banking clients. The project was staffed by over 50 AML professionals in 6 different locations. Experience at Navigant also includes supervising a team on an extensive historical transaction review including assisting the client with the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports. Additional experience includes the review of a global banks bulk cash activity, an audit of a Stock Exchanges trade surveillance procedures and working as an integrity monitor on a public sector construction project. Prior to joining Navigant worked as a Managing Director at Bear Stearns in their Corporate Treasury department.
