My journey as a public speaking coach began in childhood, where I excelled at crafting captivating stories. With a penchant for spooky stories and Irish folk tales, I would often find myself sitting around campfires or among groups of young friends building suspense, developing characters, grabbing attention and unknowingly laying the groundwork for my future career.In high school, I was vocal on all the world's problems and wasn't shy of the school play spotlight either. Later, I advocated for civic awareness, individual responsibility, self-ownership, law and society, speaking at various events and online platforms which boosted my public speaking confidence and competence.I pursued a Law degree, honing my skills through moot court competitions and delivering a significant academic speech at Trinity College Dublin. I argued for abolishing prisons based on early Irish Brehon laws. This experience led me to establish the Brehon Academy in 2013, where I created online courses about Irish law and culture.From 2015 to 2024, I worked in several capacities for an international non-profit focused on youth leadership. In my final role as the Global Training & Engagement Director, I revamped the leadership training program, impacting thousands directly and tens of thousands indirectly with my courses and presentations.That role required extensive travel, allowing me to visit 47 countries and speak at international conferences and training seminars all over the planet. My experience with diverse audiences, including non-native English speakers, has refined my ability to tailor my approach to individual needs.
